NUA Supports Teena's Legacy in Fundraising Efforts
Teena's Legacy, a 501(c)3 non-profit, recently held a fundraiser to support a dynamic exhibit in honor of Black History Month. Teena's Legacy in Gary, Indiana uses upholstery education to boost self-esteem, sharpen imagination, and enhance the creative mind. The money raised will fund the upcoming art exhibit Bringing Our Seats to the Table: African and Black History Covered and Re-Covered.
The NUA asked our friends and members to help support the cause, and you answered! With 10 days left in the fundraising period, Teena's Legacy met their fundraising goal of $5,000, meaning the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) will provide a match of $5,000, doubling their total fundraising efforts. Thank you for supporting this cause!
