NUA Volunteer of the Quarter

Amara Falk

Hi! I’m Amara Falk, and I serve on the Education Committee for the NUA while working on the product team at Rochford and CushionCraft.

My days are a mix of researching trends, crafting marketing messages, coordinating with our sales and supply chain teams, training folks on new products, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes—usually with the help of a trusty spreadsheet or two.

Before this role, I worked in education, consulting, and project management. Outside of work, I write music and perform improv comedy.

I’m happiest in roles that blend structure with creativity and let me connect with people along the way. I love helping teams stay curious, clear, and collaborative—and that’s exactly what drew me to the National Upholstery Association.

As the granddaughter of a welder from Minnesota’s Iron Range, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for people who work with their hands. When I was introduced to the NUA, I realized I could support that passion—and put my skills to use—through the Education Committee.

Volunteer with the NUA!

Volunteers are the heart of our organization.
Our board and committees are composed of unpaid volunteers - small business owners, manufacturing professionals, and upholstery students - who are all passionate about supporting and advancing the field of upholstery.
